Our Story
Set inside The Landgrove’s historic 1810 farmhouse, VildaHaus is inspired by the wild in all its forms: what grows here, what changes with the seasons, and what happens when a chef has the freedom to experiment.
The result is thoughtful, adventurous food served without the formality that often comes with it.
Come as you are. Stay awhile.
Hours
We are open to the public Friday to Tuesday, and we take seatings between 5:00pm to 7:30pm.
This allows our kitchen to be cleaned up and quiet in time for inn guests to get to bed.
We often fill our available tables many days in advance, particularly during workshops.

Dinner at VildaHaus is meant to feel like an evening out rather than a stop along the way.
Some dishes may feel familiar. Others may surprise you.
That’s part of the fun here at VildaHaus.
Vilda means wild.
For us, wild isn’t a cooking style. It’s a way of thinking.
It can mean ingredients growing in the garden or gathered nearby. It can mean experimenting with something unfamiliar. It can mean taking a classic dish somewhere unexpected—or simply allowing an exceptional ingredient to speak for itself.
VildaHaus isn’t interested in following a formula.
We’re interested in making really good food.
VildaHaus occupies the restaurant rooms of The Landgrove, a historic Vermont inn tucked away on a dirt road in the tiny village of Landgrove, convenient to Londonderry, Weston, Peru, Manchester, Bromley, Stratton, and Okemo.
The setting is intentionally unfussy: old wood, Persian rugs, vintage-inspired glassware, warm lighting and rooms that have welcomed people for generations.
